i have a well, and had the water tested because i have iron staining on my appliances. Ph is 6.5 , Fe is 0.5ppm, hardness is 6ppm. I presently have a sediment filter, that gets blanked over rusty after about 2.5 weeks. I can clean the appliances with a green pad without chemicals and it comes off. I was told, i needed a neutralizer. It would raise my ph, and handle iron up to 3ppm. What do you think?

A 10x54 acid neutralizer that back-washes maybe once a week will replace your sediment filter and elevate your pH.
An acid neutralizer can not be relied on to reduce iron, but a softener may do the trick. The softener follows the filter.
