@neologist,
I didn't see any questions that were worth answering.

Titus 3:9
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

@neologist,
There are only two kinds of revelations. Something new revealed to you carnally. And the revelations of Jesus Christ. Spiritually with all verses.

This is the sort of thing you can't comprehend unless Jesus lives in you. The kingdom is that which is to come but also that which is here in the heart of all believers. We are building the kingdom.

I must say those who just repeat the verse religiously probably don't understand it anyway.

Clear as mud?

Read Daniel 2:44 and tell me who will bring about the kingdom and whether it is a real government.

Wishful wanting is what I call it.

The history around the time of Jesus depicts a man who believed there was a coming to an end age where the corrupt and brutal reign of kings would be overthrown and replaced by a more peaceful rule, where disease and famine would be wiped out.

Jesus proclaimed himself the king of the jews and this is why he was sentenced to death by the romans.

However; not all of the Jews were convinced that Jesus was their messiah foretold in their sacred texts. But those who did follow the cult of Jesus did believe that he was the messiah and that he would return to change the world for the better.

So this saying is wishful wanting that day to come.

@neologist,
These words are part of the model prayer found at Matthew 6:9-13. With these words Jesus is referring to the Kingdom of God coming to the earth to make things better.

@daverod,
In other words, 'It's time to celebrate. The LORD is arriving'!

Make things Wonderful for Them....

John 1:9-11 "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not."

John 1:12-13 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

John 1:14-15 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me."

John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me!!!

Praise Ye The LORD!

HalleluYah!

But some were there/here that said, 'Are you 'telling' me what to do? I don't appreciate being 'told/commanded' what to do'.

@daverod,
And so these became the 'mighty' ones on Earth which the World did go idolizing after.

Why would man seek their own 'glory' in seeking after the 'glory of man' which is leading them further into the darkness?

Wise? Unwise? Political? Self will? Free will? Knowledge? Pride? Family name? Family worth? Self name? Self worth?

What sorts of places has persons who are unable to get into any 'joys' of life? What sorts of places is void of 'celebrations' to 'life' and its goodness? What sorts of places restricts such 'celebrations'? Why would they? Why do they?

What sorts of places promote the macabre? And why do they enforce the macabre over the rejoicing and/or celebrations to life?

Free to celebrate the goodness in/of 'Life' in a safe place? What is wrong with that?

Being 'forced' to not have that 'joy'?

Why cannot I Praise The LORD?

Maybe if I was to 'read' of the Free and if I was able to read of the 'good' in my own language, I would not feel as if this 'freedom and joy' is only for the English speakers.

Thy kingdom come, is part of the Lord's prayer.
The kingdom is the kingdom of God or also called the kingdom of heaven.
The kingdom will come at the end of this age, when the earth and all the planets will be no more. Then there will be a new heaven and a new earth that will remain forever. Few will then inherit eternal life in God's kingdom. While many will instead be thrown into the fire of hell, where they will be tormented, tortured, punished forever.

The kingdom of heaven is about life and reward beyond our ability to conceive or imagine. And this is only inherited through the Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of the world.
