<phew>

That's all. Just phew.

Jespah and RP know where I had my last apartment in Boston -- less than a half a mile from Copley Square and the site of the two explosions Monday. (Prob'ly a good deal less as the crow flies.) Now, more than 6,000 miles distant from all that, I sit here, shaking my head, and silently praying for all of you, my fellow Bostonians, to be safe and well.

Damn!!!

@Lustig Andrei,
I remember your place - yeah - it was close to Copley.

Lockdown order lifted, but the suspect remains at large. We are hearing more traffic, including sirens and helicopters above.

@Region Philbis,
There is definite police activity at the moment. I hope they can take him alive. He has important information. However, I know it's not likely they'll get him alive.

Here's an interesting sidelight on how one of the two suspects was identified by a man who lost his legs in theexplosion.

@JPB,
The word seems to be that a "body," covered by a tarp with blood is in a boat in the backyard of a house in Watertown. This suggests that he may be dead. Too bad. Sad story.

Meantime I just saw that the pair weren't the guy who robbed the 7-11, but they were there at the site. Not sure if any of you said that yet, I've been in the kitchen and going back and forth to the computer room.

@ossobuco,
I don't know about that, osso. It has been said that the pair that robbed the 7-11 is not the same pair as the bombers. But now it has been reported that the person in the boat is moving. So it seems he's alive.
