I have an arch that frames the entrance from my living room to dining room. The inside surface of the arch is about 4 inches wide... Getting ready to paint both rooms...in complementary colors-one a warm yellow (living room side) and the other, some yet to be determined lightish blue. Question now is what is the "proper" color to paint the arch wall-the same as the living room or the same as the dining room?
I think wall sticker is best option for Arch.
@MrsFixit,
There is a third alternative. You could paint the 4" white. This would highlight the two colors and separate the rooms.
@MrsFixit,
you could paint the arch with different colors....
@MrsFixit,
Hello Friends,
Painting an arch can boost the appeal of any room. The process is much like painting any other wall. Take the same precautions you would in painting other interior or exterior facades wear old clothes, keep paints and materials away from children. Get creative in considering which shades, tints and level of brightness to use to make your archways stand out.
Thank You

@BaronDavis,
It gives good look and feels to that particular thing.
@MrsFixit,
If you are going with yellow, the complimentary color is purple, so maybe a pale purple?
