After a door was removed, a plasterer made good the wall. Only, where his bit ends, there is a line of wallpaper from floor to ceiling. I sanded down the join and painted, but there is still a ridge. Is there anything I can do - apart from wallpapering up to the ridge?

@Rutie,
Is this a horizontal or a vertical ridge? If it's horizontal, is it at a height where you could fake it by putting a chair rail over it?

@Rutie,
If you are painting over the wall paper the best way to get rid of the ridge would be to mud over it and feather out the line so it disappears.
