Normal Distribution z score

At one university, the students are given z-scores at the end of each semester rather than the traditional GPAs. The mean and standard deviation of all students' cumulative GPAs, on which the z-scores are based, are 2.7 and 0.5, respectively. Assume that the z-scores have a mound-shaped distribution. The president of the university wishes to graduate the top 16% of the students with cum laude honors. What is the minimum GPA needed to receive the cum laude honors?

@B1GR3D6192,
1) Look up the inverse normal function for a probability of 84%. It is a z score of 1.
2) If the mean is 2.7 and the standard deviation is 0.5, then at z=1 you get a GPA of 3.2 (GPA = mean + z * standard deviation)
