Delta flights offer free beverage service and a snack. Your snack choices consist of either a 1 oz. cookie, a 0.45 oz. pack of peanuts, or a 0.42 oz. pack of pretzels. On my flight down to Wichita (flight number 4524) there were 17 passengers on board. I asked the flight attendant, who looked to be 23, which of the three snacks was requested the most. She emphatically answered peanuts! So I asked this young lady if she could tell me how many of each she had handed out on this flight. Her response was 6 peanuts, 8 pretzel’s and 3 cookies. As it dawned on her that this was not what she would have expected the pilot announced over the intercom that we were beginning our decent and should be on the ground at 10:35, 20 minutes earlier than expected. This allowed her a convenient excuse to stop talking about statistics as I headed back to my seat, pleased with another awesome test question written. Alas, there was no room at the gate because we were so early so we actually arrived in Wichita 15 minutes late, after spending 30 minutes on the tarmac. So, if the opinion of this young flight attendant is prevalent throughout the company, and peanuts are the most often requested of the three, did this sample give any evidence to the contrary?
@Renan,
Your simplistic "win" is nothing to brag about.
