Hi English Teachers,
I don’t know when to use ‘improve’, ’enhance’ and ‘sharpen’, please teach me, thanks a lot in advance.
I go jogging frequently nowadays, I thought that the practice enhanced/sharpened my running speed but many people overtook me easily.

@Loh Jane,

improve works best in your example:

I go jogging frequently nowadays, and I thought practice would improve my running speed, but many people easily overtake me.
