any freecell players out there? i was upgraded to windows XP here @ work, and i can't get freecell to work!
THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!! Confused

the EXE i saved from windows 98 is version 4.10.0.1998.
when i run it, i get this:
Quote:
One of the library files needed to run FREECELL.exe cannot load in the 16-bit windows subsystem because it is a win32 DLL

is anyone aware of a solution for running old windows games on XP?
thanks...

Win XP has it's own version of Free Cell...

Can you use that one?

this XPPRO is starting to tick me off! All my programs that worked on WIN200 for doing audio\video editing seem to screw-up quicktime movies (speeds them up - hyper).

Do you have the games folder in your "All Programs" list?

If not, the install probably skipped the games. If you go to:

Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components > Accessories and Utilities > Details

Then make sure "games" is checked.

I'm not sure if you'll need the installation CD.

Dont worry--its not as much fun at all on XP, at least when I checked it the other night--seemed smaller (could change the size either) and just not the same. Could be just me, still playing with the new setup as well.
I dont have it here at work-we arent allowed to have it installed. Funny though, I could install it if I wanted to but, I figure--why go there? Besides-who in the world has a job with time enough to play? (And are you hiring Wink )
