I love it! I missed it last night when I think he had Rice on, and hoping I can catch it at 7 PM in repeat.
Those guys are brilliant!
That sounds good but is Tivo (TIVO?) that expensive? I hadn't looked into the cost but Jon Stewart is always mentioning it... he must have stock in the company. My son says it "learns" your style and starts programming in a helpful way, which sounded like a good deal. I'd love to have some "real" AI around here.
I used to like Colin Quinn on SNL, but now I find him obnoxious. He's always telling people to shut up if he doesn't agree with what they're saying.
He is very lucky to follow the Daily Show.
Somebody tell me how the Daily Show runs a repeat the day after the President's 3rd Annual Press Conference? There was enough material there for a week's worth of shows. Any conspiracy theories?

MaN, I threw my full glass of Merlot across the room when I saw that (I'm still cleaning up wine stains off the TV). I'm sure Stewart (now voted the second funniest person in the Entertainment Weekly poll) will be back dealing with the burning question, "Is Bush drinking again?"
Quote:"Is Bush drinking again?"
and if not, would it be a good idea if he would try it? (in vino veritas)

Ack! Another repeat tonight! Ashcroft, is this your doing? (Yes, I know you're watching.)
The Daily Show hiatuses are programmed months before so the surprise news conference was timed so that Jon Stewart wouldn't be able to pounce on Bush's ineptness along with just about everyone else. Even Jonah Goldberg didn't have nice words for Bush's evasive answers.
Stewart and Co. must have spit when they saw the scheduling relating to all of this. The good news is that they'll never run out of fodder. Some fodder is just better than other fodder. What a peculiar word - fodder.
Mirriam-Webster:
Main Entry: fod·der
Pronunciation: 'fä-d&r
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English fOdor; akin to Old High German fuotar food -- more at FOOD
1 : something fed to domestic animals; especially : coarse food for cattle, horses, or sheep
2 : inferior or readily available material used to supply a heavy demand <routine entertainment fodder> <fodder for tabloids>
- fodder transitive verb
fodder fodder fodder
Yeah, it is!
Political fodder is news fodder and news fodder is politics.
most fodder is just grist for the mill.
Have you ever metaphor? Let me introduce you to 4.
I used to watch the Daily Show, until I discovered Conan

Oooh stop! You're killing me.....
Sorry, but Jon Stewart is miles ahead of Conan and they're not on at the same time.
sparky -- A pun my soul, thanks.
All last week while the Daily Show was pre-empted, Comedy Central showcased stand-up comedians. I was amused that they called Jon Stewart the first good-looking stand-up comic. <grin>
Here's the list. It must have been hard to do and it looks like they decided early on to limit it to North Americans. Actually I don't know a few of these guys, but it was fun to see what I did. (I still missed several -- long late TV shows put me to sleep.)
