I have a mitsubishi eclipse 06 it was running fine this morning. I came back after 5 hours to start it so I can go home. I called 3A to jump start it. The guy did jump start it but no success. The car battery is starting but it will not completely start why? what is the problem?

@lynn white,
has the vehicle ever had the timing belt replaced?

those cars are notorious for jumping time and wiping out valves...

@Rockhead,
Yikes. Mine is due at 120,000, and I'm well past 90,000. What kind of reputation does the '03 Focus have. I've got a non critical 2 liter engine.

@roger,
I don't believe the ford 2 liter is an interference engine.

the mitsubishi is one of the worst damaging ones...

maintenance is very important.

@Rockhead,
That's what I meant by non critical, but if it's going to fail, it will be halfway between here and Albuquerque.

What maintenance? It's a belt. I get my servicing at the Ford dealer, and supposedly, they check it.
