Do not feed the squirrels

We had a large bag of unsalted peanuts in the shells then it disappeared so I bought another bag. I thought Antonio was snacking on them but I didn’t see any peanut shells in the trash bin. This morning he was standing on the front porch tossing them to the squirrels. He’s been doing it for over a week and we now have at least twenty-five squirrels hanging around the house. They can jump from the tree to the roof, pesky little critters can do some damage if they get in the attic. Sigh!

Very minuscule amount of meat, I would stick to wood pigeons, they are nice.
So I am told at least, also pheasant on a spit was lovely to me.

Can you catch sylvatic plague by eating a squirrel gone bad? As opposed to being bitten by a flea which had fed on squirrel blood?

The reason that i prefer meat loaf to squirrel or possum is that with meatloaf, i don't have to gut it, skin it and clean it.
