Hi guys,

I was wondering if the following sentence sounds natural to you. I am not a native English speaker so I just want to make sure. Thanks

Having been able to maintain a right balance between school and work has allowed me to develop good time management skills

@mixi,
Sounds like something an American might say, especially if they were desperate to find something to put on a cover letter to accompany a resume.

Instead of "a right balance", I would say "the right balance".

I'm not sure how your title relates to the question. Am I missing something.

@roger,
Roger,

Your guess is correct! I am actually working on my cover letter and not really sure if this is the way a native English speaker (in America) would say. I apologize for the confusing title Smile

@mixi,
Hah!

It would be better to have something from your own work experience that relates directly to the job, but since it seldom works that way in real life, go ahead and use it.
