@ehBeth,
@all

As I have observed elsewhere, if this one don't get us, the next one will. The calendar on my wall stops in just under two weeks. I don't like seeing all these things happening at once.

@Setanta,
According to Google, it's 5:42 a.m., December 21st. If the Wabbit shows up, we'll have to ask her if she's seen an apocalypse layin' around anywhere.

@Setanta,
6.00am in Sydney. Starting to get light. Overcast - temperature around 20 Celsius, quite pleasant so far - and a relief from yesterday's scorcher. Expected high around 28 C.(that'd probably 70-80F in your language)

We sort of figured that, as the world was so Americas-centric - the end would come somewhere during your time. And, as usual, you're way behind us! Twisted Evil

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

In self-centredness - I'm not too sure that's a great achievement, but I guess you take the wins where you can! Smile

From what I get from that page is, "Don't drink from the watercooler."

@tsarstepan,
Something really might start in the USA: nearly three dozens schools in Michigan closed earlier over fears of the Mayan apocalypse ... but they will open again in January.
So it must happen worse elsewhere ...

@margo,
Over 80 degrees in the sensible scale of measurement. I knew summer was coming on there. Say . . . you haven't seen an apocalypse lying around anywhere, have you?

I am fluent in Pomsomatopootamogan, which, as you know is very similar to Eastern Mayan. Page 74 cclearly states that
"Should large thorny alligators begin to emerge from ones ass, eating a huge pArapetus during its emergence, one should dial your local alien wearing a chicken on his head and have him stab the parapetus repeatedly with brucine tipped arrows > while this wont do nothing for the afflicted, it will make one hell of a pottery decoration"

6.20pm: (1820) Blue sky; a little high cloud. About 25C., Light breeze. Very comfortable right now. No sign of an apocalypse yet.

Computers went a bit screwy this arvo, though!

No sign of restless animals, either - I understand that is supposed to be one of the signs.

@dlowan,
François Hollande just said in a French radio program that "la France n'est pas finie, tout commence". Perhaps, they've just had only a minor apocalypse?

Those French, they always have to be different . . . nineteen hours to go in North America (center of the only part of the cosmos that matters) . . .

Walter, the French call orgasms la petite mort. If they're that dismissive about the best part of sex then don't you wonder how flippant they'll be about the End of Days? Surprised
