I still like the idea. A little busy for it now, packing books en masse to give to UCLA, S.Army, try to sell at Booklegger's...
but I will still move with a lot of books and will be passing some of them on a bit later. For example, if I decide to forego landscape architecture, I'll have a lot of books relevant to landscape, urban planning, and gardens to pass on. But not for a few months.

I've received a few books from people online who I've never met. I'd like to pass a few of them on and dlowan told me something that she used to do that gave me this idea.

Let's start a book club with a twist. I'll mail the book to the next person in line, and so on and so forth.

We take turns buying the book, then you read it, sign it and send it to the next in line.

Any takers?

Sounds interesting. Is this really working?

Well now this IS a good idea. Sharing is always a good
idea, eh?? I LOVE books - any chance that the original book sharer
/owner/person who sends off a book can ever get their book back
at some point in future. Most people probably wouldn't give a hoot
but I have a side effect of forgetfulness caused by one of my
medications & the best part is that I can reread one of my favorite
books & it's almost like reading it all over, anew. Especially great
for books that I dearly love. So do we list books available for
trading off and put it up here on this site, or did you plan on
having another site specifically for the books themselves.... like
the A2K lending library site?? Good idea, really Craven.

Hi,

New to this forum; only discovered it today, in fact.

A bit cheeky of me perhaps, but is the book 'Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive' still in circulation? I'd very much like to read it.

Nice site, by the way. Very Happy

Joe

Sorry, I think the book exchange ended a while ago. But welcome to A2K. Smile

Joe-

That avvie you have there was used by a lady from St Louis and we had some good sport with it on the Trivia threads a bit back. I'm ashamed to say that I have forgotten her username but she was okay.

No I haven't. It was Mac 11. I think. We had some fun on a thread but I can't remember what it was.

It's on the tip of my tongue.

Mathos will know but he's up country in Thailand until the end of the month so it's a waste of time asking him.
