@Sarces,
The EC4 75 is a softener and it requires no yearly maintenance.

Ask the dealer what is included with the service they are offering.

@Sarces,
Use quality Diamond Crystal (or equivalent) salt and find an independent H2O specialists that knows Fleck control valves. RainSoft control valves are Fleck valves.

@Sarces,
Blocks have less surface area and tend to dissolve slower and more consistently.

Pellets are sometimes easier to handle, but they usually dissolve faster than blocks.

Pure white is the color you want for both.

@Sarces,
It's not normal, see if the drain line is rubbing against anything.

@H2O MAN,
The drain line is clear of anything around it the noise it was making has reduced a little but is still makes a clanking sound when it starts the regeneration and a couple of times after that as well .... I have found a person that seems to know about fleck control valves and should be here this weekend to c if something is wrong or not... Thanx for the help
