@Mame,

You've probably just developed better taste! I did that with a DingDong a few years ago - it was just gross.

For a brief second I thought you were responding to JPB, the post above your post and I thought you tried and turned a Ding Dong into a hot dog roll, complete with hot dog and mustard. Confused

My apologies for putting that image into everyone's brain. Wink

@Setanta,
Quote:
Twinkies was called the “white man’s soul food”.

The description came from Archie Bunker on the television show “All in the Family.”

Chicago is know as the “Twinkie Capital of the World” as they are the leading consumers of Twinkies per capita.

It takes 45 seconds to explode a Twinkie in the microwave, just be prepared for a giant mess.

Twinkie the Kid was a Western cowboy cartoon mascot introduced by Hostess in 1947 to help sell the snack

Ho-Hos and Ding-Dongs? Gone with the Twinkie. Are Snowballs made by Hostess? A pity, if they are. I still like those.

@edgarblythe,
Try the Little Debbie Swiss Roll, i've always liked it better than Hostess Ho Hos, and i believe it's cheaper, too.

@roger,
What, you don't like aging Gerber babies? Or human pictures on boxes in general? I probably agree with you, either way.

(There was a photo somewhere in the last week of the woman who was the model for the Gerber baby)

Remember when Sealpoet orchestrated a bunch of us to send Twinkies to his mother-in-law?

She took the whole thing in great spirit. Smile

What year was that? I figure I bought them at Safeway surreptitiously.

@margo,
I sent some, too. I don't recall how it was received. Surely, with a certain amount of confusion.
