@dalehileman,
To sell stuff.

They are phishing (Google that) for contacts.

If you don't think there are dweebs stupid enough to send someone money because of an offer on the web, you haven't been following the history of Internet Scams and Spam.

Joe(wow...I just got this email by mistake offering me over 16 million dollars)Nation

@Alexis Allen,
Thanks for the warm wishes. I hope they work.

I'm glad you like A2K. You seem a friendly enough sort and we need more of them on here.

Don't take any notice of these cynics. They are so habituated to being bushwhacked that they have ceased to have any trust in the goodness of human nature.

It's a good thing is wanting to share and gain knowledge. As for co-operating, you will find little groups who co-operate with each other and who tend to be at loggerheads with everybody else. The best co-operation is on those threads where discussions about neutral subjects take place such as what the offspring of the loins of the contributors have been up to. Which is invariably admirable or cute. Or their dogs.

I prefer the pestilential vilification style personally.

I hope you enjoy the A2K experience and I return your warm wishes.

More like Norman Bates having a conversation with his mom.

@Lustig Andrei,
Perhaps you are more interested in the Bates character than is strictly necessary.

I rather doubt that it's necessary at all.

@Lustig Andrei,
Is it okay if I dream up who others remind me of with a view to putting them down the effortless way?

There's always Reynold Brown's Nightwalker poster as an exercise in oneupmanship.

@spendius,
The real problem Andrei is that the technique exposes to public view the social circle in which those using it are mired in.

The facility and eager and impassioned readiness to deploy such wit strongly suggests a habituated familiarity with it and, by logical extension, a social circle containing nobody capable or willing to point out the utterly despicable nature of it.

Certainly not a "problem" for me.
