I have two motion activated lights on my house. both lights worked when I installed them and then in less than a week one light on each no longer works. Is it possilble to wire them wrong and cause one light to short out each time. Any ideas why this might happen

@kdill,
The fact that one light on each went out is coincidental, IMO.

It's more likely that the bulbs that are now out either got loosened through vibration (windy lately?) or the seals on those particular sockets weren't properly done.

Climb up, switch the bulbs, see if you got two bum bulbs (that's possible too, if you bought the set the comes with bulbs, they put in the cheapest kind available.)

If they both are good, make sure they are properly seated in the sockets and you'll be fine through the winter.
