Why can't we have instant scrolling

My Topics, My Posts, My Tags, etc is a most excellent approach to sorting one's priorities, much better than in many if not most other such forums

But there are still a few glitches you might address in your editing routine, eg, the lack of instant scroll bar

Though I realize how difficult to alter purchased software so I will understand if you can't

What do you mean by "instant scrolling?"

Describe what you are looking for.

If you mean you want a way to quickly scroll to the top or the bottom of the page, we have that. Look at the very upper and lower right hand corners of the browser window next to the scroll bar. You'll see a green triangle. The one with the triangle pointing upward takes you to the top of the page. The one with the triangle pointing downward takes you to the bottom of the page. Every page has those.

Of the page yes, But, but I'm concerned about the smaller rectngular window within, where you compose your OP or reply to another's

In the posting response window a scroll bar sometimes appears for some mysterious reason toward the end of one's posting but I am hoping to see it much earlier

You forgot QUOTE. It is especially inconvenient when you are trying to isolate parts of a long quote to respond to. I know we had that ability until recently.

I don't use QUOTE often but I can't remember a time when the other windows had an instant scroll bar

You might (heh heh) scroll up and see just how often you do use QUOTE, and how often you have isolated segments of those quotes to customize your reply. Fortunately, we do have a scroll bar when reading posts.

But of course I was discussing the absence of the scroll bar for the posting window itself
