Hi Friends,
DC power jacks have spring contacts to secure physical and electrical contact with an insertion type barrel connector. Over time and repetitive reinsertion, the strength of the springs and contact will diminish. Corrosion will eventually render the jack unusable and it will require replacement. So, what steps have follow to replace a DC power jack, share in this forum.

Throw the old appliance away (I mean actually recycle or freecycle by that). Buy a new version of said appliance. Done deal. Help the economy out. Win win!
