In your profile it says:

Quote:
We have thousands of successful filing in Europe and world wide as well. We provide our clients true and irrefutable copyright for your own work. So, comb through our online portal and be assured of safe content through our legal copyright deposit.

And your occupation is says “copyright”

So what was the question again?
Cool

@damin,
I have often wondered if it's perfectly legal--instead of simply providing a link--to reproduce an entire article as is so often done in a2k

@dalehileman,
Dale:
Ask yourself: are you producing the entire article for some motive, reason or purpose beyond further dissemination of the article?
Are you in any way, shape, form or fashion harming the author(s) of the article?
Are there posted restrictions on the dissemination of the article which would be violated by reproducing the entire article on this site or any other?

If not, go take a nap and stop worrying.

By the way, erstwhile writer, my editor would have a field day with you. There is no such thing as being "perfectly legal" any more than there is a condition of being "partially pregnant".

Dale:

No, at least not me. But should that make a difference

When I was a kid disseminating copyrighted mat'l was illegal regardless of motive

Yes of course. For instance now an interested party might not buy my newspaper, mag, etc

Yes I'd presume usu a pub is so marked

Why thank you Joe but it's not I who should worry

In what way
I might resist his advances

I well understand but still curious

Fair use of materials already published has long been established as legal.

Why do you think that there is a difference between posting the article and posting the URL? I'm not speaking now of the convenience factor you've alluded to elsewhere, you seem to think there would be some difference in the legality of listing the LINK rather than posting the article. Why?

The concept of copyright has turned mushy, I agree, and don't get my started on plagiarism.

Okay Joe I take your word for it as I'm very old. However back then "fair use" implies short quotes, not the entire article. Evidently things have changed drastically

Because the URL takes you back to the original publication that its editor wants you to read.

If the URL also isn't authorized then, no diff

Ok I won't
