Not everything is about you, David, despite your conviction of the excellence and importance of everything you say. The author here comes to this site a few times each month, and, using a new screen name, posts an almost identical "introduction" of himself. He then goes away never to return in that guise, but rather to open a new account with a new name which looks European, and introducing himself in this manner. My comment was addressed to him. You'd have know it was addressed to you if it had begun: "Hey, dummy . . . "

I thought of that, but it was ambiguous.

In addressing him, I deemed it better
to err on the side of courtesy.
