@realjohnboy,
People are syncing now with my choices, which is too bad as I'm unlucky. I'll still likely be odd woman out.
(Reuters) - Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent was charged with manslaughter on Saturday after the car he was accused of driving while drunk crashed and killed teammate Jerry Brown Jr, in the second tragedy involving NFL players in a week.
Police in the Dallas suburb of Irving said that Brent, 24, was driving at high speed on a state highway at 2:21 a.m. when his car flipped and then caught fire. The car slammed into an "outside curb, causing the vehicle to flip at least one time before coming to rest in the middle of the service road," police said.
Brown, who had been in the passenger seat, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital a short time later. Brent suffered "minor scrapes" and was booked into the Irving jail, where he remained on Saturday awaiting arraignment, police said.
"Officers at the scene believed alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash," police said, adding that Brent was given a sobriety test.

@CowDoc,
The site wouldn't leave the columns in place for the Miz and me, but I think you can figure out that her picks are the first ones and mine are the second, rjb. We're leaving Memphis about game time. Hope everyone has a great week!
Now I have 12-6 Patriots-Texans with Andy's vote and one I missed before.
We have consensus as a group on 85% of our picks this week with no tossups. The game between the Cowboys and Bengals is the closest that we come.
At the other extreme are the (mis)matches between the Falcons and Panthers and the 49er's and Dolphins.
JPLosman, Ragman, Liontamerx, Osso, Tico and AndyD differ from the majority on just one game.
Cowdoc is out of step with Ragman and Osso on 3 games and with Wandeljw on 4.
@realjohnboy,
I called AndyD just before kickoff for clarification. He chose St L and KC.
@realjohnboy,
I'm doing remarkably poorly so far.
Looks like Atlanta and others may be getting their comeupances.
@ossobuco,
I think I am up to six, sheeeeeesh.
I might be happy for some teams, will think about it.
If I've done this right, Region (Mr. Contrary) Philbis is tied for first place after 11 games.
Miz CowDoc shares the honors.
jespah has sole possession of last with 1.
@ehBeth,
This must be that "any given Sunday" they talk about.
We are not doing well.
Suffice it to say that...Region is in the lead.
@ehBeth,
I seem to remember this kind of wallop at this time of year..
Jespah isn't doing THAT badly, George.
I have Cowdoc and Region at 7-4. At the other end is Mysteryman 3-8.
@Region Philbis,
Jesus has quite the gut these days.
Okay, I realize it's 38 to zero at the half ... but the Cardinals, with John Skelton at the helm, are going to lead a second half comeback the likes of which have never before been seen, and they will do it in one of the most difficult places to play, Seahawk stadium. Or maybe not.
