Here are the standings after 4 weeks. Note that there is an * beside Miz Cowdoc. She has the best winning percentage amongst the lot of us but has chosen in less then half as many games so far. In a week or so she will be added to the standings.
(*) Miz Cowdoc is off to a great start at 21-10 (.677)
(1) George. after a good outing is at 40-23 (.635), good for 1st
(2) Coastalrat (37-26 .587) climbs up from 7th
(2) Wandeljw drops from a tie for 1st
(2) As does Cowdoc
(2) And Lionamerx who gained ground
(6) JPLosman (26-20 .565) was in 9th
(7) McGentrix (35-28 .556) falls from a share of 1st
(8) At (34-29 .540) are a boatload of people: Osso, Tico, Jespah, Ragman, Region and Rhys

(14) Johnboy (33-30 .524) and
(14) AndyD follow

You are right. Thanks for the correction.

Thanks. I was actually trying to make a joke about the replacement refs. I only became a weekly winner because of an unusual call by the replacement refs.

@mysteryman,
Time to quit dawdling and see if I can get into yahoo fantasy today. If so, I'll make some snap judgements and add my list.
Well, wait, I can add my picks without getting into yahoo - I'll leave that surprise (one way or the other) until manana). I get used to having a few sports windows open, liking to compare and contrast, but not having to get into yahoo to decide means I can continue with this pickum game even if am yahoo-deceased. Er, yahoo defunct.

So: my let's see what I think list from Monday sounds like a lot of other folks lists. We'll see how it comes out after I cast my jaundiced eye at it once again:

Thur 10/4
Arizona @ St Louis
Sun 10/7 - early
Philadelphia @ Pittsburgh
Cleveland @ NY Giants but I might not be completely surprised if Cleveland came through
Atlanta @ Washington
Miami @ Cincinnati Now there's a maybe
Baltimore @ Kansas City
Green Bay @ Indianapolis
Sun - late
Seattle @ Carolina Eeny meeny miny mo, catch a goldfish by its toe, as my mother used to say. I'll be brave and say Carolina.
Chicago @ Jacksonville
Denver @ New England
Buffalo @ San Francisco My thought is, poor Buffalo, but ya never know
Tennessee @ Minnesota
Sun - night
San Diego @ New Orleans NO by a millimeter.
Mon - night:
Houston @ NY Jets (38 - 17)

@realjohnboy,
Beat you to the punch, Johnboy.

Some a2k pal news - Roger and I are going to meet Cowdoc for lunch tomorrow. We both are complete fans of him and also of Mrs. Cowdoc, who can handle him ; ). Unfortunately, Roger missed the sports gene, so we will probably not dwell on tomorrow's game. Enough other stuff to yammer about. He's very into forests and fire and I've had a fair amount of interest in that in my past. He and Roger are abundantly more conservative politically than I am. He and I are good talkers. Roger is succinct. Cowdoc and Roger are both funny in different ways (as in wit) and I'm not always a slug at it.

I haven't heard that expression (or some variation) in years. It was used to determine who was "it" in tag or some such children's game.
In the south we used - innocently I hope - another word other then goldfish.

@realjohnboy,
We're near the same age, kiddo. I didn't hear the expression you did, LA, NYC, Chicago, having almost no known associates who were children until I got to Chicago just as I turned nine. My mother was saying her own take on it, then, which would have been '50. I loved playing tag and all that. Chicago (Evanston) probably saved my life.

Anyway, my mother was a staunch (I do mean staunch) Republican.
OK, OK, I'll be quiet. I've been talking about this since I'm meeting a2kers who are not of my political persuasion, and I regard both their minds well.

@Rockhead,
My 1st google search (I'm not making this up) resulted in this from Justin Bieber. "... Catch a bad chick by the toe. If she holla, if she holla, let her go."
