@Butrflynet,
By the way, I had to take BBB to the ER on Wednesday and they've kept her there a couple days for observation. She has been having numerous instances of dizzy, weakness and chest pressure -- 7 in 24 hours.

So far, with all the tests run, they haven't found anything that indicates a problem with her heart, brain or any other bio systems.

It is possible she will be coming home today, depending on how she does after some physical therapy this morning.

@Butrflynet,
He also needs temperate/mild climate. Cold air causes the air passages to constrict, hot and humid air creates resistance to airflow in the lungs. Molds are also problematic with humid air.

@Butrflynet,
Several of those are temperate (CA especially). The link offers a lot of info -- as in you can start with the temperate ones and then look for median house price, etc.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
From the COPD Digest:

"If you have chronic lung disease, Fayetteville, Arkansas is the best place to live in America, according to COPD Digest. The magazine published its picks for the 'Top 5 Best Places to Live for People with COPD' in its summer 2007 issue, mailed today. Fayetteville won first place, followed by Amarillo, Texas in second, Fort Smith, Arkansas in third, Naples, Florida in fourth, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota in fifth place."

Hope you're feeling better, BBB.

@Butrflynet,
Amarillo is gonna depend on where you are at in relationship to the stockyards.

I never ever think of that particular city and air quality without a mental gut clench...

best wishes to all of yas.

@Rockhead,
At least Ft Smith has low cost of living. There are reasons. . . .

@Butrflynet,
I havn't been able to find BBB's thread on her health. How is she? (and what is the location of her thread?)
I wish Stugotz the best. Would good air amount to a cure for him?. Doesn't he need good treatment at the kind of advanced medical center that is unlikely to be found in most places with good air?

@JLNobody,
So it seems. That is but one reason for my negativity on Ft Smith.

@JLNobody,
BBB is getting ready for yet another surgery on Tuesday. If things go as expected, this will be an outpatient one and she'll be home the same day.

My brother is still searching out his options. I'll send him a link to this thread and your latest posts so he can respond.

Hello All, I wanted to take a moment and thank you all, from the bottom of my heart to the tip of my bald head. (lol). I appreciate all of your comments and suggestions.

I take it day to day, and as can be expected have both good and bad days, but for the most part i am holding my own.

still fighting the insomnia demons each and every day, which is a battle unto it self. If sleeping pills were stars, I could make a 100 galaxy's out of them.

I and my Docs are still searching for the "core" reason.

I have alot of good friends here and a few in my life, along with my beautiful mother and sister, to keep my spirits up.

I still have the urge to fight my health issues to the max, and that is a good thing.

Our temps here are finally in the mid to low 80's, so I can go outside and breath in some fresh Smog.

You folks are the best, and I hope that health and life have found their way into each and everyone's heart.

Never giveup, never surrender.

Well BBB survived another operation today. I was very worried as usual, but she keeps on trucking.

Can't keep a good woman down I guess.

Mom I love you in so many ways and thoughts. Your the best.
