It took place in the United States after World War II. A former Nazi marries the daughter of a judge. He is interested in clocks and I thought the title was "The Clock," but I can't find it.

Yes, that's the move and what amovie! Orson Welles directed and starred. Edward G. Robinson was wonderful. Loretta Young did a good damsel in distress.

A clock is a very important element in the movie . Especially when time runs out for the villain. When the NYT had a weekly TV magazine the movie critic always gave it a "POUNCE" rating.
Sorry i think a lot on this.
