Well, it finally happened. The company I work for (who is also our ISP) has blocked A2K. We have two seperate connections. Work (which is the one currently blocked) and home (not blocked yet - where I'm writing now). Because I work offshore, I only come home for the weekends, so as things stand now there's only 2.5 days a week I'll be able to get on. Unless they go ahead and ban it on the home internet too. Oh well - 592 days until early retirement. See ya'll then.

I've been told that many ISP's that operate from work block certain sites because of the ads, etc. Msolga. Don't understand why that would be true from a home pc, though.

Jim, drop in when you can, buddy.

Hi c.i.!!! It's so good to have our good guy back again.

Dys and I got back Monday night after spending the weekend in Denver visiting with BigDice and Urs. Roger also came up from Farmington, so it was an extra special meeting. Dys was the only one who hadn't met them before, as both Roger and I have met them at a Florida gathering. They are an absolutely wonderful couple! It was nice getting to spend one on one time with them, getting to know them better.

Next week we will be driving out to Connecticut to see family and friends. We'll visit Boston, CT and NYC, probably spending close to three weeks on the road and visiting.

Next May, we hope to hook up with c.i. and, we hope, Margo, somewhere in Europe.

I LOVE a2kers!!

Hi Diane, Please let us know when you guys plan your dates for May, and where the Europe A2K Gathering will be held; dates and place(s). I think Walter's home town will be a good start, but I'm open for London and/or Barcelona. I'm thinking of getting a Eurail pass for about 2 weeks or more. I want to squeeze in southern Italy, and do more of southern France, an area I've neglected except for Nice and Monte Carlo.

Ok, one of my good friends and her husband are buying a primo apartment in Paris.

Schniff. (Green waves pass before eyes...)

I am unlikely to be able to get to Europe in May, October is more possible. Still, I'll be listening.

Oh Osso, are you sure you can't make it in May? Well, I guess your landscape business is at its busiest then.

C.i., we aren't even close to having a real schedule yet, but we'll let you know just as soon as we have it figured out. We;ll start in London, go to Amsterdam, on to see Walter, then BigD and Urs, then to Vienna and sort of play it by ear after that; going through northern Italy and working our way down to Barcelona then to Madrid the day before we fly home. We too will be using Eurail passes.

Letty had such a great idea on starting this thread and although it hasn't been used in a bit, perhaps we can begin its revival?

osso....I know you're going to be gone for a week or so and for one, I truly appreciate you letting us know that. As lame as it may sound, I actually DO worry about a lot of A2Kers when they suddenly disappear....

Thank you, Letty. You are a love!
