Women's Olympic Soccer/Football: Canadian Player Steps on Head of Fallen American

The motion in the animated GIF is too jerky for me to tell for sure if this was intentional (always beware of video that purports to show some sort of action, but has skips in whatever motion it is depicting, as people can maliciously drop selected frames to make an innocent act appear to be sinister), but the blog article here seems to think it was intentional:

@oralloy,

not sure, but it looks like Tancredi was watching the ball and didn't see Lloyd until it was too late.

Tancredi is a physical player though --

she finished the match with just one yellow card despite being called for at least seven fouls

@Region Philbis,
What was Lloyd doing there on the ground getting in everyone's way?

Cool

@ehBeth,
Napping.

~ I think it would be a waste of time and effort to bomb Canada, that's why no one's ever done before I guess. It's so big. So many acres of ......acres. Trees, rocks, big grassy places; I think one of the whatdoyahcallits, Provinces is just one really huge wheat field.

It would be hard to bomb a wheat field.
That's why the Canadians are not afraid of us.

Plus they know, if we ever slip and fall, they can step on our heads and get away with it.

I have to be careful when i walk around Canadia because people are always ready to knock me down so they can step on my face and then claim it was an accident.

@Setanta,
I frequently step on people's faces when I see them on the ground. 50 points per, 100 if they're old.

Well known for their impoliteness, those canajuns.

Looks to me as though the canadian player tripped over the fallen player's head.

I'm sure that's what she wanted it to look like.

@Joe Nation,
Here's an interesting article in reference to that and to the Canadian team claiming the ref was making calls in favor of the US

It sure is sad to see that women have come to this sort of thing. I don't know what the world is coming to. Women boxing. How utterly silly can we get?

I feel sorry for the men of the future. All that soft and tender flesh--so weak that it had to be helped into the flimsiest lingerie-- gone! GONE!! GONE!!! Swooned at the thought of a spider.

Now it's a nexus of hard-knotted muscle with an attitude bouncing on the balls of its gigantic feet looking anything but vaguely distressed whilst trip-tropping across the marble floor or seeming to glide above it in a sequined floor-length.

Bloody holy hell fire.

Maybe we have decided to get things on a more even playing field having discovered that the gentle little fluffy pieces could twist us around their little fingers from morning to night and spend a graceful twilight living off our investments after stress had done for us.

It's a high price to pay though. Rancid sweat and Wintergreen instead of the fragrance of new mown hay and buttercups. Perhaps men will have to be conditioned to become aroused in a different manner. To learn to appreciate masculine beauty.

The poor sods.
