I got a new computer and I taking her on her maiden voyage!

HP Pavilion G7 laptop! 15 inch monitor! AMD dual core and Windows 7.

Is anyone looking forward to Windows 8? Does anyone know the Windows 8 system requirements?

@MMarciano,
I've been without a home computer since September. It's good to be able to look at a full size screen instead of a small phone screen to browse a2k.

@tsarstepan,
The computer sounds nice, but is the 15 inch monitor a standard size? Mine is 19 inches, although it's a separate one.

@tsarstepan,
congrats =)
According to Microsoft recommendation, it requires :
=> 1 GHz or faster processor
=> 1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
=> 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
=> DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

I give my computer's place names so I named mine Sunset Castle. After a little forethought, I could have tried a little harder. Sunset from Sunset Park, my new neighborhood and castle because I was too impatient to think about the remaining half of the name. I just wanted to play around with me new toy! Cool

I've named my past computers: Winter Palace and Tsarskoye Selo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsarskoye_Selo and tsarish variations of the like.

I don't know what's standard size. It fit my price range and it has the full keyboard with the number pad which I placed as an option to help widdle down which computer to pick in the end.

@tsarstepan,
I have to have a full keypad, too. For me, it comes from years as an auditor. It's the only way I'm really comfortable entering a lot of numbers.

@DrewDad,
Two people can be on their computers and I can still stream online TV shows and movies to my BluRay player and television at the same time so I don't have any major complaints in that department. I have Time Warner provided internet.
