Ok, I am being a question asker today...
Which is the better buy
The IPad 2 ($400) or the Kindle Fire ($200)
I want to use internet, play games, listen to music and read books... They both look pretty similar (except of course size/storage)..
I am sure some of you have these, help please!?!
@Crazielady420,
These aren't really in the same category. The Ipad is a full tablet, the Fire is a stripped down tablet/fancy reader. You'd do better comparing the Fire to the Nook. That said, I'd buy the Ipad hands down unless money is a big driver. If book reading is your main want, I'd get a Nook.
@Crazielady420,
I have a couple of 7" tablets (they're actually e-readers, but perform all the functions you outline). I like the smaller size for travel, but a 10" wouldn't necessarily be a deal-breaker.
The only thing I don't like about the iPad or Kindle Fire is the lack of extra storage capacity. Both of my android tablets have MicroSD slots up to 32GB and one also has a USB port. I load the cards and flash drives up with movies and audio books - great for long plane rides and airport delays.
@Cycloptichorn,
Definitely workable even though you can't watch directly from the SD card. Good to know.
