@OmSigDAVID,
Quote:In your mind, he was bad,
to shoot holes in the criminal ?
Heard of that saying? Good cop, bad cop? I have a wicked imagination, when I hear/read something I will read into it at times.. Seeing her doing the good thing, phone the police and him doing the bad thing, pointing a gun.. It does make sense.
Quote:U know, Found Soul, that from the time of the beginning of our species,
we have lived in a predatory environment, subject to the depredations of Man and beast; just the shape of the world.
I believe that the vast majority of other forms of life (if not ALL of them)
also live their lives in predatory environments.
Agreed, do what ever for survival..
Quote: i wish I coud think of some good advice for u.
Just be guided by these considerations of self defense when u vote for politicians.
Even self defense here gets so much scrutiny, to ensure that it really was self defense. Knives seems to be the favourite. I wouldn't carry or have one with me, I'm not that stupid, in fear one could freeze, the other, take your life.
Quote:It is the RESPONSIBILITY of the defending gunner (homeowner) to prevent that from happening
by disabling the violent criminal with gunfire.
Let the criminal be smart AFTER he has been disabled by gunfire.
What if he missed his legs and got his middle leg
It's a huge responsibility to put on a man who is not in the Police Force.
Quote:Thank u. I remain uncertain on 1 point:
what was your reasoning as to the bow, as distinct from the gun ?
In other words, as u see it, HOW 'd a defending homeowner
be better off if he chose one instead of the other ?
There was none really, I just hate the thought of "people" being able to use guns that are just "people" to protect their property... Buy more locks for doors, good fire screens for windows which knives can't get through, make the Government give a consession so that everyone can afford them.
There a better solution.
