3.) As a researcher, you are interested in investigating the effects of a new handwriting curriculum on handwriting legibility. You plan to do this by quarterly monitoring the progress in handwriting legibility of four groups of third graders using the curriculum. Which 1 of the following 3 statistical test would be most appropriate to use, and why?
a. t-test for independent means.

b. t-test for dependent means.

None of the above. You can use the ANOVA to compare the mean values of the groups at a given time point, but none of those tests are valid for time-series data.

Agreed. In any case the data is unlikely to be more than ordinal implying a non-parametric test

You might look up the Friedman Analysis of Variance.
