When performing a lung assessment for acute bronchitis the nurse listens to lower lobes by listening to what location, posteriorly or anteriorly or laterally or none of the above.

That said, perhaps these definitions will help you discover the answer for yourself.

posterior: Located behind a part or toward the rear of a structure.

anterior: Of or relating to the front surface of the body, especially of the position of one structure relative to another; ventral.

lateral: Relating to or situated at or on the side.

Here's the anatomy of the lungs so you can figure out what they mean by lower lobes:
