Anyone living in the south shore Boston area is familar with Marylou's best coffee in town. This coffee spot tends to have young cute girls that work there. But now they are veing investigated by the federal employment discrimination investigation because of this although no one has complained.

“We have never had a complaint against us for age discrimination or any kind of discrimination,” founder Marylou Sandry wrote.

Company vice president Ronnie Sandry told the Herald that Marylou’s hiring is limited by its pool of applicants, who tend to be young women from the heavily white South Shore.

‘When you’re hiring a police officer, certain people show up,” Sandry said. “When you’re hiring a Patriots [team stats] cheerleader, certain people show up. When we’re hiring, certain people apply, and we have no control over it."

I don't know - I've never taken offense - they just seem like cute happy young girls that tend to work there.

@Linkat,
Must be a slow day for the feds in Eastern Mass. today. They have to generate their own investigation because nobody has made any complaints. Laughing

I love it.

@DrewDad,
Supposedly there were no complaints - their local commercials caused the investigation. In the commercials there are a bunch of young cute girls in pink Marylous t-shirts and in shorts singing their little "best coffee in town" jingle, dancing and smiling and winking at the camera.

This is the cause of the investigation.

@Linkat,
I meant maybe the son or daughter of one of the regulators complained to his/her parent.

Well, of course. The very existence of federal investigators is at taxpayers' expense. That's a separate matter and not germane or material to this discussion, David.
