Even when you factor in the difference in the dollar, it still seems that there are a lot of goods in Canada that are more expensive than in the U.S.A. And then you have the misfortune to be in an area of Canada that I understand has one of the highest costs of living. Is that true? I've heard that people in the maritimes end up paying more because it costs that much more to ship things out there. But flowers are expensive all over.
I've only received roses once in my life. *sigh* I may not be a girly girl in a lot of ways, but getting flowers....I dunno, there is just something romantic about it. Not that I'd want them all the time, mind you. I like the idea of keeping it special.
