@ehBeth,
Beth, where in hell did you get that?

I do not remember that picture from the Pan.

Any chance we can see the positive rather than the negative?

By the way, even I will admit that I look like a jackass in that picture, although the sculpture is one of my favorites.

@tsarstepan,
I do not believe Frank Apisas exist…but I do not believe there are no Frank Apisas.

Okay, Tsar. I get it.

First of all, let me say that there are four Frank Apisa's living within a few miles of each other here in central New Jersey. Fact is, three of us all work for the Golf Operations of our county.

But, that aside:

You do not believe Frank Apisa's exist.

That is your right. You are under no obligation to "believe" any of us exist. Even the Google entries for us might be phony. So...you do not believe Frank Apisa's exist.

At the same time, you do not believe there are no Frank Apisa's. They might exist...and you are taking no "believing stance" on the issue.

Obviously, if you had worded the first part of your thread title, "I believe Frank Apisa's do not exist" then their would be cognitive dissonance.

I am sure you realize the huge difference between:

I do not believe Frank Apisa's exist...and...

I believe Frank Apisa's do not exist.

It is subtle...and you may actually be missing the point. But it is valid...and it makes a difference to many discussions taking place.

Kid about it if you prefer, but understand that as originally stated, there is no cognitive dissonance. You made sense...even if it is like Costello making sense in the "Who's on first?" skit.

You don't look like a jackass...you look like a three cornered jackass.

(Only Australians will get that.)

That's evidence enough for me.

@ehBeth,
Not sure. I "friend" anybody and everybody who asks to be "friended." No discrimination. I hardly ever visit my Facebook account anyway so it doesn't matter to me if some "friend"posts something that might offend another "friend." To me, that whole FB site is a losing cause.

@ehBeth,
I also got that message, Beth.

I may have a fb account, but if I do, I have not visited since I set it up.

@Frank Apisa,
I see we agree on a few things, Frank. Unless I get an e-mail message from Facebook that my presence is immediately requested and/or required, I never visit the site.
