Hi There - What is a dilute alkali
An alkali whuch has been diluted.

A weak base..base being another term for alkali
using pH=-log[H+] with water being neutral (pH= 7), a weak base would have a pH greater than 7 but less than 9. A good example of a weak base is lye soap.
