I got the email, I'll be commenting here in case others have this problem.
I created a couple of test accounts and was unable to replicate the problem. But I think I know what it is.
First of all, there are a few things that you should look at.
You entered "_" as your last name (probably for privacy concerns) and that is being used as your display name.
That character could be messing up the hotmail software (which I don't have access to and can't tell you for sure). I recommend changing it to a regular character (e.g. a-z).
To change it go to:
Options > Personal > My Profile
Now I don't think this is the problem, because you report it as happening only with this friend.
Because of this I think the problem is in an address book entry.
You both need to check your Hotmail address book entries for each other and make sure that there are no special characters in the quickname.
Hotmail defines the useable characters as A to Z or 0 to 9. Spaces are not allowed.
Have a look, I bet one of you has something invalid.
Other than that there is little I can tell from the source code you forwarded, because you are using simple email headers. If you want to try it again you need to turn on full email headers and get a new email thread going to forward.
But try changing your display name, and checking the hotmail addressbook entries first.

By the way, I know this is not the thread for this question, but is there an easy to understand reason for my e-mail constantly disconnecting from my server? I cannot respond to A2K updates, but I CAN get to them by means of A2K's website.
Just ignore the question if this is an appropriate place for posting it. I don't want to egocentrically side track the discussion.

Thanks satt, but it had to go to be fixed. I was out of my league. The windows wouldn't even start up, saying that it could not detect the hard drives.
It's fixed. I still have most of my stuff. Life is good.
