So I had 4 tickets to the White Stripes concert yesterday, and only had one person coming with me, so I had two extra tickets. One of my new roomates is a huge music fan, and I knew he liked them, so I told him "I've got two extra tickets if you want to go."
So he gets a friend of his, shows up, I give him the tickets, and he says "thanks."
Where's the $$, muthaphucka? At that point I didn't even bring it up. Should have said something about it upfront. Lesson learned. That lesson cost about $100.
Just whenever one of my friends asks me if I want to go to a show/sporting even with them, I've always thought it's obvious I have to pay for my ticket.

Seriously, why don't you go tomorrow night? Tickets on craigslist are selling for face value. I'd go with you, but I can't go to a concert 4 nights in a row. I'm pissed already I'm only getting to the gym twice this week.

I grimaced, gritted and damn near choked when my aunt told me that she and her two daughters were planning on staying in the Houston area and riding out Hurricane Rita. At least, that was the plan Wednesday night. She said that they won't decide officially until later today.

The girl in my finance team who looks after my numbers screwed up yet once again. I had asked specifically for UK numbers for 2005 and she has given me UK + mainland Europe. Now I have to sit and recalculate all over again
Since there's no *what made you cry today* thread, i just have to post here. it made me cringe and grit my teeth, too. my stoopid bro-in-law (nice guy, really, but this he blew) was caught in this woman's house by my sister. she suspected it for some time. they didn't open the door, he came out when my sis send him a text message that their son is sick and she needs the car to go pick him up from kindergarten. then she told him to pack his things and leave. and left he did. she's going through hell, and the poor kid. and i cannot do a thing, damnit.
