In response to the thread - I just posted a URL to a friend in email referring him to one of the A2K threads and it didn't work. I am going to scream at the university email service. I mean, this is A2K!

I've got a big birthday coming up. One of the biggies that can bum you out if you don't do something really special. One of my very best friends and I had decided to spend the last weekend in October in NYC with another good friend. I was so looking forward to it, museums, restaurants, shopping, but those plans fell through today and I'm a little sick about it.

superG, guess what! my watch stopped (it's a winding watch), so I kept blissfully thinking it's quarter of seven. the third time i saw it's still quarter of seven I got suspicious, and indeed, it was 10:15 instead. GRRRRRRR is right. but at least you have a soulmate in vienna who did the same today!

The only taxı drıver to rıp us off ın our travels ın Syrıa and Turkey - dıdnt put on meter and then charged us double the reasonable amount. He got very stroppy when we remonstrated and I walked off but my peaceable son paıd hım... grrrrrr

Its downright chilly ... the first time, here. Huu. Guess the summer is really over, then ... and it feels like it'd only just been starting. Gonna be a long winter ... it gets cold enough here.

Yup, olga. Today is the first day in as long as I can remember since I got here that My Yahoo! tells me its warmer in Amsterdam than in Budapest, if only by a single degree.
