Thanks, eoe. It is a drag.

The schedule's not too bad - or won't be once the antibiotic starts to clear out my head of all the gunk in it.

The puffer is one, twice a day.
The antibiotic is two, once a day.

Cross your fingers that I don't somehow mess that up.

<hamburger may be right. I may need a mask when gardening in the spring>

Bethie, is it an inhaler like this?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/images/38169000/jpg/_38169372_inhaler_generic300.jpg

Or one of these newfangled things like Advair?

I use both for asthma. (The Advair twice a day, the other when I need it which is very rarely these days.) They work differently, so I don't want to give advice without knowing what kind it is.

Those things grace my bathroom counter most of the time -- hubby uses 'em. (Asthma, too.)

Sorry, Beth, sounds awful. Do you have any mold allergies? Part of why I do most of the gardening, E.G. has mold allergies and just can't deal with gardening stuff for long. (I think it's other allergies too, but that's what comes to mind with your sweet li'l woodlot...)

I've never seen an advair. They do look complicated.

I take Allegra & Flonase which seem to work great for me. Good luck, Beth.

btw Piffka I love snow monkeys. Tons of personality. Stars of the MN zoo, where I worked for three summers, could watch 'em forever...

I'm trying to use that funky purple thing, mac11, and I clearly don't know what I'm doing with it.

Hopefully I'll figure it out in the first 12 or doses. Confused

Thanks. I love 'em too. Macaques seem to always have a lot of character and any critter who likes a hot bath s'okay with me.

I don't know how to cut down images so I'm always scanning the 'net for graphics that are small enough for our avatars. I was really pleased to find that one.

Ok, my trick with the Advair, after it's opened, is to exhale completely (but not with the inhaler near my mouth) and then put my mouth on the Advair and inhale hard and as deeply as possible. Of course, both of those actions are tough when you feel like you're about to have a coughing fit. And you're supposed to hold your breath as long as you can afterwards. Also tough at times.

I hope you're feeling better with or without the medicines!

By the way, Advair costs around $100 here for the 30 day size. Insurance pays most of that. I bet it's cheaper there...

I'm at my Dad's (think green fields for 5 miles in either direction and no form of human contact for 4 days)
I'm on the computer.
I'm talking to Jon, one of my best friends. We have a pretty up and down relationship - sometimes we spend every minute of every day together and sometimes we don't speak for a week at a time... other then the necessities
We haven't been speaking recently and we're finally talking again
My Dad needs his desktop for 2 mins. Ok it's his computer so i say bbs and log off.
I run upstairs for all of a minute. Literally run up, grab scissors so i can do something while Dad's on computer run back downstairs. I don't even have to look for them this is literally 1 minute.
Dad shouts me to say he's done.
In the time it takes me to get down the stairs mum is on the computer checking her emails
20 minutes later she finally lets me back on (and yes i did tell her why i wanted to be back so urgently)
Jon is gone

AAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!

People who come into a shop and don't say "hello!" even after I, the shop assistant, say "hello" to them.

I purchased 'fresh' fish from our neighborhood kroger on Friday and when i began to unwrap it yesterday, it stank to high heaven. This is the second time I've gotten bad fish from this store and when I returned it, the manager simply offered an exchange (!?) or a refund, no apology, no remorse, he gave less than a damn about it, so this morning, I filed a complaint with Kroger Inc. and I'm looking into reporting this store to the proper authorities.

This morning, once again FedEx failed to deliver a package to my client in Chicago. The offices are on the third floor, no elevator, and the lazy bastard refuses to climb the stairs so I had to file a formal complaint with them too.

Anybody else want a piece of this?! Mad

Next time, try to make sure there are many customers in the shop, and speak out loud.

Walked to a park that's not that far but not that close, either. While there, sozlet tried to scale a chain link fence. I was watching, looked like she was just climbing up it and not over it, which was fine. She did indeed start to come down, then misjudged something and ran towards me, screaming. I got to her quick, found that she'd really gouged her forearm. She was yelling her head off. No particular amenities nearby, I decided it was not enough of an emergency to knock on doors, hoisted her, and set off for home. Got her calmed down a bit, started telling her stories, then every time she'd get a glimpse of her forearm the yelling would start again.

Made it home in record time, got her patched up, should be fine. She never really hurts herself (and not for lack of opportunities), so this was new for her.

My feet and back are killing me, though. She's way too heavy for that length of a walk.

Having to help break up a full-on girl fight in the yard at school today. I have never seen anything like this before: two girls rolling around on the ground, throwing punches & flashing fingernails at each other. Shocked Two of us had to forcibly pry them apart. I found out later that it was a dispute over a boy! Rolling Eyes

end of term paperwork +++++++++ and stuff for next term to hand in - all for adults coming to learn and improve but for fun rather than leading to any qualification.
