@dlowan,
machine was off, but not by much, BP was over 200.
@dlowan,
That's classic repartee, dlowan. I enjoyed reading it.. but can see this could be an ongoing trial.
Just talked with dys. Things are somewhat better.
Yikes! Just got back home and still catching up. I'm glad the doctor's on the case and sounding serious...... Sending Atlantic scented vibes from the East Coast.
@dyslexia,
Hmm. OK. Thanks, dys.
Sending my very, very best wishes to Diane. May things improve & fast.
My second best wishes to you, dys.
This can't exactly be too easy for you, either.
Lady Diane's current BP (wed-7 p.m.) 177/110
@dyslexia,
I know that's very high, but is it higher than when they released her from the hospital?

no, it's down somewhat but still way too high.
@dyslexia,
Ah. That's what I thought, dys.
Was just waiting for someone to clarify.
Worrying here. I hope you're coping OK there.
@dyslexia,
And all this is on top of her back pain, or has the pain receded somewhat?
But it's a slow acting drug, right?
I'm not sure a drug that shuts you right down is wise either. When I first started on bp meds, from one time with a quite high reading, I fainted here in this house twice, once getting a nice fat egg on my skull, from hitting the floor. F/scary. I later learned that the drug sent me way low in bp, fast.
You and I have taken the same drug at some points, and, if I remember right, just before you had broken your hip in falling, you had taken it.
Let what she is taking now work at its pace, but monitor.
@ossobuco,
Right. The one I use takes awhile to take effect, and I'm sure the ones that work right away have their own dangers. It's a sort of balancing act, and is one of those times when you really can't try to outguess the doctor.
How's Diane today? Waiting and worrying and sending blood-pressure-soothing vibes from Houston.
@mac11,
Yes, I hope all is OK with Diane & dys.
I'm hoping it's just that dys so busy & preoccupied that he hasn't posted recently.
Sending my fondest regards & best wishes to both of you, D & D.
I don't know anything, or I'd post at least a temporizing note. Diane was going to the doc today and is/would call me when she got home. I don't know when the appointment was. No answer on a couple of calls from me, but that usually means Diane is asleep and Dys is out having a cig, or is asleep too.
She sounded ok yesterday, though not wanting to go on one of our excursions (her original idea), but that is also routine with us.
