@Region Philbis,
Tortorella is a fine coach. He got a Stanley Cup for Tampa Bay.

His teams always are greater than the sum of their parts.

"Oh it's Kreider time again"

Where did this rookie come from? B.C.?

Looks like the Rangers aren't gonna work too hard to make the next round.

@panzade,
Kreider apparently just finished help winning the college hockey finals at B.C. Now, a few weeks later, he's competing for the Stanley Cup. He broke a 1-1 tie in the third period for Rangers on Saturday and 'shocked the (Hockey) world'!

Wonder what will he do next year to follow this up? Will he play as goalie, too?

@Ragman,
A good kid.

Just wish we had traded Ovechkin for him.

@Region Philbis,
You caught on. I floated that up there for any Broonz fans who might've been Mill-burying along.

@Ragman,
I dunno. The Caps seem to be doing better with his reduced ice time. He's such a liability defensively.
Looking forward to Flyers/Devils.
Any thoughts?

@panzade,
Neither team of the Devils and Flyers interests me much. I have no love for anything related to Philly and the Devils have pissed me off since they had their win a few years back (not sure which one) and then said they wanted to leave Jersey. Maybe it was the bitterness I still associate with the Dodgers and their exit (which in fairness is really my long lasting destestation of Robert Moses and all the things he ruined...including his refusal to sanction the O'Malley dream of a new and bigger stadium in B'klyn). Since I wasn't really a Dodgers fan to start with; but, needed a National League team to despise, they worked well until the Mets came along. (my siblings actually started out life in Brooklyn, yet seem to have no animosity towards the Dodgers.)

That said, I'd rather the Devils win than Phiily since the Flyers already disposed of the Penguins which to me is not forgivable (I am very strange when it comes to sports).

Mixed feelings with Predators and Coyotes, leaning towards Phoenix.

@Sturgis,
Thanks Sturgis. Our sports heroes and villains are made up of demons and angels. When the Washington Senators left DC I became a life long Oriole fan.

I was surprised yesterday that the Flyers had such a difficult time with the Devils. They seem so much stronger on paper.
Brodeur looked like he'd been away from hockey for 10 years. He made some silly mistakes.

@panzade,
Having lost Saturday, the Rangers returned to the ice tonight and in overtime defeated the Caps. 3-2, now leading the series 3 games to 2.

@Sturgis,
Wonderful game.
Best goalie(Lundquist) against the luckiest(Holtby).

Caps had it 'til J Ward got a huge penalty with 20 seconds left. Then it was all over when Richards tied the score with Lundquist on the bench. The Caps couldn't hold off the Rangers in OT

PUT IT IN THE BOOKS! The New York Rangers have never lost a Game 7 at Madison Square Garden and they sure as hell weren't going to change that tonight! Bring on the Devils!
