@scoob82,
Thanks so much for the responses! I know I'm asking for a lot.
I tried searching for "grisaille cityscapes by women artists" and used some variations, but didn't find her.
She is definitely American. I *think* she is based in either San Francisco or the Napa/Sonoma area, but am not sure of that - and not sure why I think that. I've been searching for hours with those cities in the search terms and am not finding her. The web page I remember had a photo of her surrounded by several of her paintings, and I remember that image relatively well but that's about it. I bookmarked this about a year ago thinking "someday" and now I've learned that I get a new office and can pick out some art I want for my office. I naturally thought of this artist and naturally cannot find the bookmark or remember her name.
Of the two images that were posted, the first one is not abstract enough and the 2nd one is too abstract, if that narrows it down any.

There were a lot of lines. They were similar to pencil drawings but done with paint - meaning it had outlines of buildings, windows, doors and such but the paintings only used a few colors per piece.
I don't know if she uses watercolors or oil or something else. Wish I did.
