A retired police officer was asleep in his Puyallup, Wash. home,
when a group of four burglars, one armed with a crowbar, broke in.

Upon becoming aware of the burglary, the homeowner retrieved a gun
and fired on the criminals, causing them to flee.

A short time later, police were contacted when a man showed up at
a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. The wounded criminal did not survive,
but police were able to track down his two accomplices that had dropped him off.
A search of their vehicle uncovered stolen property,
leading police to believe that the group is responsible for a string of burglaries.

Police have been supportive of the homeowner’s use of force,
with Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Detective Ed Troyer stating,
“At this point, if people enter your house and they’re armed with
a crowbar – if you’re out doing burglaries – there’s a strong chance
you’re going to get shot
. People are able to defend their lives and their homes.”

The bad guys lose again.

I guess that makes the liberals pretty unhappy.

7 people killed at a California Christian college by a disgruntled student who couldn't get into a college program but could get a gun. Guess that makes the gun zealots like David happy, right, David?

ANYONE can get a gun, Jack. U shud know that.
Christopher Columbus's nabors made guns by hand,
long b4 electric tools and engineering plans existed.

MontereyJack wrote:

No, Jack. I 'd have been happy if the victims had presented the perp with a 7 gun salute.
That is not an exaggeration. I 'm sure that the perp and the supporters of gun control
were very happy that his victims were all suitably unarmed,
in perfect, docile obedience to EVERY gun control law.

I am on the side of GOOD.
I want evil e.g., murderers and liberals, to fail.

@OmSigDAVID,
What is your point? If someone breaks into my house, I will also grab a gun to protect myself and my dog.

My point is that u r 1OO% right, Tryingtolearn. Your dog obviously has splendid taste in humans.

U put me in mind of a Youtube scene wherein a very delicate, sweet, lithe, blonde
young maiden looking about 15 is on the fone, when she hears someone breaking into her house.
She daintily makes her way to her closet & comes out with an AK 47
and she opens up with about 45 seconds worth of fully automatic weapons fire. It is rather dramatic. She makes her point.

bet that made you come in your pants, didn't it, David. Snuff films and gun porn have that effect on some people.

Well, u like to exaggerate,
but it was fun and funny. Maybe u 'll be happy to know that
thay did not show a bad guy; no target shown.

I like the principle involved; its very American.

The little movie obviates any fantasy; it is presented in front of us.

What they didn't show, David, was that the guy she fired the long burst at and killed was the FedEx delivery guy, who was trying to put a package inside here screen door so it would be safer. Fed Ex is demanding she get life, since her state has barred capital punishment since it's been shown repeatedly that innocent people end up on death row.

@OmSigDAVID,
I don't know what movie you are referring about.

I doubt my dog is proud of me. I was on this site when she almost died. I didn't know what to do and I asked for help. I did what I thought was right. She is still here and her name is Dito.

Well, I posted about it on this page, a littl higher up.

Regretably, I don 't believe that we have people informed in veterinary medicine.
If I had seen your post, the best that I coud have done
is to advise that u get a veterinarian as fast as possible,
because I don 't know much about that and diagnosis shud be done
with the patient in front of the diagnostician (meaning no disrespect).
I hope that Dito is feeling OK now.

@OmSigDAVID,
I guess Liberals are those that believe all of the amendments are paramount--right David?

Wouldn't that would make Jefferson, Adams, Hamilton, Jay and Madison liberals?

Rong, Rap.
The essence of liberalism is deviation from something.
If thay believed in them, then thay 'd be Orthodox, conservatives.

raprap wrote:

Rap
It woud not make them liberals,
unless thay rejected and turned away from the amendments,
or other parts of the Constitution.

Thay were liberal as to the Divine Right of Kings,
from which thay turned away.

@OmSigDAVID,
"As Deputy Lawrence began to run the man's driver license, the man approached him and suddenly shot him once in the forehead with a .22 caliber handgun. He then fired again, but missed, before taking Deputy Lawrence's service revolver. Two armed citizens then shot and killed the subject as he opened fire on bystanders in an attempt to steal a vehicle to escape."
