@Brooke2000,
Three. One pair of dress shoes. One pair of casual shoes. And, one pair of athletic shoes.

Oh... then there is a pair of hiking boots.

@jcboy,
About 15 years ago I had over 200 pairs of footwear. That included slippers, boots, skates, ski boots ...

I came up with a rule. For every pair of shoes I bought, I had to get rid of two. That worked quite well for a long time. I got down to 50 or 60 pairs. Then I found the Skechers outlet. Things changed Shocked

The rule is about to be enforced again, and I'm going to try to pack up at least a dozen pairs for a swap meet I'm going to.

@ehBeth,
You can get by with 60 pairs. You're a rare woman.

I have at least 12 pairs of boots alone, never mind heels, sandals, clogs and running shoes. I'm not about to count, I love shoes. I won't apologize either. It's the feminine prerogative.

I've probably only got about 20 pairs now.

I had a big throw-out a few months back!

I have about 10. Reading 60 or 200 wow I am amazed. I can't imagine having that many. Maybe I need to go shopping. Where do you put that many shoes?

3 pair of Danskos, two of them waiting until I find a old shoe fixit place to stretch the top of them (my arch somehow got taller, I guess by my foot getting a little larger and the arch moving forward in the shoe); one pair of Danskos that still fit.
3 pair of faux crocs, two of them for the yard (garish colors) and one (navy) for going to the grocery store or around the house
2 pair of running shoes, one of them run down, one of them on the new side - don't wear them much here in Abq
1 pair of originally expensive loafers (Taryn Rose on sale), now scuffed, weathered. Perfect for my feet, in my closet forever.
1 pair dress up black sandals, rarely wear
1 pair Bjorn oxford type lace ups, rarely wear
1 pair winter walking boots, rarely wear
1 pair of woven leather thick soled sandals, comfy, wear a lot
1 pair of flip slap leather sandals for around the house. They're getting a patina.

On how many pair of shoes one should have - there are no rules for that, depends on what you need or want.

@ehBeth,
When Morgan and I were cleaning out the garage there were four very large boxes that were marked “Shoes” now he has about 30 pair in the house, I thought those boxes really can’t be filled with just shoes, must be marked wrong.

They were shoes.

Walk in robe, shelved 12 times "please", "please"....

I threw out three garbage bags full when I recently moved of SHOES.. I am not one to spend hundreds on shoes, for one pair and I'm a bit of a thrift shopper, mainly because I just have different taste than wearing the same as everyone else in Adelaide and well, don't believe in labels unless I really, really like the item, I think it's money making.

Sooooo, I still have a huge box under the bed, filled and two in the BIR's... So around 50 still.................

How many should I have? Ahh at least 50.... Smile

@Brooke2000,
I'm a shoe freak; I love to have new pair of shoes for every party or the special occasion. I've around 150 pair of shoes with me, which includes high-heels, kitten heels, flats, converse, boots and many more.
