Kind of cool, and maybe scary - Google shows you what they think you are based on cookie info
http://t.co/DoN5VdEw
I applaud they're openness about this stuff - if you don't know why this is important you should watch this
Ted Talk on internet bubble filters - I've taken to using
http://duckduckgo.com/ to double check on what I'm missing out on.
Here's mine - Google is such a flatterer.

Very curious if anyone gets assigned the wrong gender.

To be fair, I did clean my computer the last week and my cookie file the other day. But the gender and age are wrong.
My ad blocker is apparently working.
This is good news since my ad preference is to not see any of them.

i buy books and music on line, is that the shopping, how come books and music don't enter into the equation
the only thing i can think of vaguely relating to software utilities is torrenting tv shows
and seriously, the biology has to be porn
@djjd62,
gender and age are dead on
@djjd62,
You're so funny deej.
I'm guessing that the online shopping doesn't show because you aren't using Google to find the items - Amazon won't update a google cookie (I mean it could but they wouldn't bother (unless there was some sort of business advantage - actually I'm not sure they could anyway technically without some sort of PGP key - woefully ignorant on this stuff)
@Ceili,
Hey Ceili - didn't take long to find a digital gender reassignment. I wonder if it will change over time?
@Butrflynet,
Hi BFN - do you find any inconveniences associated with cookie-blocking? I remember once telling IE to check for confirmation every time a site wanted to set a cookie - drove me insane. I like Amazon recognising me (again I'm woefully ignorant of the privacy implications).
@Ceili,
I have always thought you were a 52 year old male.
Joe(Now we know,)Nation :-)
@hingehead,
Nope, not at all. If there is a site I want to use and they insist on being able to put cookies on my PC, I just exclude them individually from the ad block.
There are very few sites like those that I'm so keenly interested in using. I can usually find alternatives.
@Ceili,
but it pegged you as Asian...
@Rockhead,
Expect a PM from Jgoldman
@hingehead,
I wonder what happened to that little freak...
@Joe Nation,
Sssshhhhh! I like to maintain the mystery.. lol
@Rockhead,
Ha ha.. Too funny. Didn't even think of that, however, no orange to be seen, you might have noticed.
Ah, quite funny. I'm going to let them keep thinking this way:

Games - Puzzles & Brainteasers slightly true, sporadically
Shopping - Apparel - yeh, I go to the goodwill once in a while, say every three months, for books; haven't bought new clothes in at least four years, even at goodwill. I already had a lot of clothes, have been downsizing. I do read the odd style article, or did when I followed the New York Times.
World Localities - North America - USA - California - Southern California - Los Angeles - see below

wrong and wrong
They totally missed any interest of mine in sports, art, architecture, medicine, politics, travel, food, animals, yadda yadda.
They do keep giving me ads about Albuquerque and Santa Fe. I'm more interested in New York, London, Rome, etc. to see other people's shopping opportunities.
@hingehead,
apparently Set and I are a mystery
