Identification Help

Hi guys

I obtained this work from a very well-to-do French friend of mine in the mid 70s in Phoenix, Arizona. I know nothing about the work and have had another picture covering it up in its frame for the last 35 years. It looks to be done mostly with pencil, but there looks to be some paint as well..and possibly crayon and watercolor also.

I've linked to some pictures of the work, including close-up of the signature. If anyone has any info on the work or artist, I would love to hear it!
