Ok, there's the Kelly's Blue Book and such but does anyone know of an online resource for this?
You can get the Kelly Blue Book on-line.
http://www.kbb.com
Thanks, I had a nagging suspicion that I was asking a stupid question but, hey, I've vowed not to let that stop me.
Great minds think alike;
my great mind seems to have thought an instant faster.
You can also get much of a vehicle's history at
vin check. It isn't free, but on a late model ride might be cheap insurance.
Kbb and nada.com...but keep in mind they're only a guide. Some cars sell for way behind book value, some right at book, and some above. 75% of the time I find those pretty inaccurate. Kbb is usually very high compared to true market value.
Slap has an important point, especially for the novice, Craven; 'fair market value' relative to an automobile is a quite subjective and even nebulous thing.
Use the number as a guidepost and not a benchmark.
HA!
Who'd like to be the first person to instruct Craven to 'use the Portal'? :wink:
And I was the one who validated it.
One more reason I felt like I'd asked a dumb question.
